Haller Enterprises, Inc. provides a number of home services (electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, water conditioning, home automation, remodeling, etc). We are contracted with The Home Depot to specifically provide Heating and Air Conditioning work to Home Depot customers. Our primary offering through The Home Depot is free in-home estimates to have a new Heating and/or Air Conditioning (HVAC) system installed in their home (Replacement). In other words, if someone goes into The Home Depot and is in need of a new HVAC system in their home, then the store sends the customer's info to us and we handle the entire job; meet with customer at home, give a quote/estimate, sell the job, install the job and take payment.
Entry level sales job with a growing Home Service Company (Haller Enterprises, Inc.) that works in a local home improvement retail store - Home Depot. Local candidates within the area Home Depot stores are encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone who is energetic and outgoing. You will work in a retail environment. (Saturday hours are a must). The job involves approaching customers to see if they are in need of our specific services and if we can provide a solution for them. Your schedule would be somewhat flexible and pay is hourly with commissions, making your earning potential uncapped. Sales, experience is a plus, but not required. You MUST have dependable transportation.
Responsibilities and Duties
In order to maximize our opportunities to succeed, we hire "Appointment Generators" who are employed by us (not Home Depot) but work entirely within the Home Depot store. Appointment Generators approach customers and discuss HVAC product offerings. You will find out who might be potential customers for a free in-home estimate for a replacement HVAC system. The main attributes we look for are people who are comfortable, and enjoy talking to strangers. If approaching people with a quick, 1 sentence “pitch” sounds awkward, this may not be the perfect position for you.
Qualifications and Skills
The pay is hourly, but there are also "spiffs" (bonuses). These are given for "leads" that you send in and turn into “appointments”. It generally works as such: if you talk to a customer and they are interested in having a free in-home estimate, then you send their information back to our main office, and a follow-up call is made by our Sales Coordinator. If it turns into an actual in-home visit with a Sales Rep, then we would call this an “appointment” and you receive an extra "spiff." If the job eventually sells then there is yet another additional spiff. This means that the position is largely what you make of it, compensation-wise.
